The Hobbit Hole is a Portland air bnb in the home of Greg and Beth Raisman. They wanted to work with their basement space, and the concept that when inside, you're actually underground. A tree round was mounted to the ceiling and earthen roots were sculpted to twist and wind through the space. The roots and other sculpture were done during the Village Building Convergence with Eva Edleson as co-lead. Frances Michaelson was my main collaborator throughout the project. Lots of wonderful help from Lindsay Howells as well. Thanks to Rip City Photography and Turnkeyed for the photos!
